Hành động đang xảy ra ngay lúc nói: “I am writing an email.“ (Tôi đang viết một email.) Hành động diễn ra tạm thời trong hiện tại: “He is working as a waiter this summer.“ (Anh ấy đang làm bồi bàn hè này.)
